School of Public Health
in Zellerbach Auditorium at 8 AM. Dr. Lawrence Brilliant (yes, that is his last name), the new Executive Director of Google.org, will be talking about how awesome he is…because he is. Hopefully everyone will be awake enough to listen.
Law School
in the Greek Theatre at 9 AM. Bryan Stevenson will be the speaker. Wow, so early? Those law students are going to be drinking all day long at the prospect of actually getting a job…
Business (Ph.D.) in the Wells Fargo Room, Haas School of Business at 10:30 AM. We hope Oliver Williamson will say something along the lines of “Congrats…now take your suit and get out of here.”

Graduate School of Journalism in North Gate Hall at 10:30 AM. Bob Woodruff of ABC News, who nearly died from wound he suffered in Iraq, will be speaking. A Daily Show interview after his harrowing experience can be found here.
Philosophy at the Faculty Glade at 11 AM. No speaker so far–we’re guessing Digital Underground wasn’t qualified enough.
School of Information on the Campanile Esplanade, 1 PM. Michael Keller will be speaking, for he is the official librarian of…Stanford. Our ceremonies are apparently so shoddy even our own librarian won’t show up to them.
Linguistics in Alumni House, 1 PM. We’re guessing the Alumni House is not the most popular place to give speeches.
African American Studies in the Greek Theatre, 2 PM. Famed communist and hip hop artist (those aren’t two terms you hear often together) Boots Riley will be performing his new hit, or maybe giving a speech…oh wait, he’s boycotting it too? Christ.
Graduate School of Education in Zellerbach Auditorium, 2 PM. Patricia Gándara will be speaking. Like us, she doesn’t believe Latinos should be doomed to a life of housekeeping and restaurant cooking at underpaid wages.
Geography in Zellerbach Playhouse, 2 PM. Malcolm Margolin, seen here sporting a badass beard, will be speaking.
Social Welfare (Graduate) in Zellerbach Auditorium, 6:30 PM. Your speaker is Dr. Ananya Roy, who reports that the US is trying to get Muslims to make falafel rather than war.
