Nostalgic for Tear Gas

You know, once in awhile, we wonder what Berkeley was like before, you know, professors decided to make it a life-or-death struggle for survival and hippies did more than sit around, stare at the walls and picture the eternal truth. Looking at the tapes, it’s easy to understand why Cal is the place it is today, with long problem sets, longer essays, more and more crap. It’s so we never have enough free time to revolt against the state.

Our favorite part of this clip is the officer crouched like a shortstop, waiting to hammer any student that got within ten feet of him. And we thought security in Berkeley was bad today…
