Downloading Simplicity, Part VII–Sopcast

Most people in college don’t seem to watch too much TV. Seriously, people who spend their Berkeley times like me watching The Wonder Years on ION and that fantastic soundtrack over and over have to be complete losers. But there are some things that you just can’t miss, or for that matter, get on your regular/crappy Comcast dealerships in your apartments or on whatever regular cable. English Premier League matches, for our international visitors, is probably very high on your to-watch list. Thankfully, the Internet is full of happiness and sunshine that will allow you to expand your horizons.

Introducing Sopcast, an excellent Internet TV program that can be used for your perusing of the excellent international programming being streamed and broadcast online. Generally I use it for my soccer/out-of-market NFL needs (especially when they’re showing shitty Raiders games), and if your connection is at least half-decent, there should be little stream disruption.

However, you might get kind of lost navigating all the channels. Thankfully, MyP2p offers an extensive guide of uploading the streams you want for the games you want. So if you don’t want to spot the Benjamins for that expensive satellite/cable package that you need for all your sporting/international programs, now you have something to turn to.
