Classic Cal: Our Professors Are Bored
You’d figure in a place like UC Berkeley that the faculty will be super focused on their research or their students to get seriously angry. But vendettas happen every now and then. Like when one unethical student steals his laptop on the eve of a midterm, and you allow him the opportunity to give a threatening speech full of technological absurdities, including Microsoft operatives waiting for the thief to turn it on to track him or her down. And the fact that this hardware worth $200 million in secrets was just lying around the lecture hall for a shrewd student. No blame at all can lie with the smart man.
Considering the sheer scale of the bluff, this speech is pretty fantastic. We guess this is what happens when professors realize their opportunities at fame are fleeting, so they figure the angrier they get the more likely someone will pick up on it. Either that or he’s really worried about what this young renegade will discover. Our guess is that there’s just some very fantastic porn on there.
